We commonly think of grief as related to loss of a loved one, but grief can be experienced when other kinds of losses occur. Being downsized from a job; a failed marriage or other relationship; an “empty nest;” traumatic events within family, neighborhood, or community; physical limitations, a restricted sense of freedom, independence, or agency are losses that can result in grief. It is possible to find meaning, resilience, and grace within the grieving process.
Graceful Grief is a series 8 of virtual support sessions for anyone interested in deepening the grief experience to find more grace and peace. Each session will have a focus relative to one of the many unique facets of grief, and will include grief education, coping strategies, meditation, and dialogue for shared empathy and healing. Session themes include Anticipatory Grief, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance, Finding Meaning, and Resilience. They will be offered approximately every two months through January 2027. Contact us for more information info@furthershore.org
