Join us for The Crow’s Nest
On April 4th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. If you are supporting a loved one with changing health circumstances or have questions about your own journey, join us for this monthly discussion and support group (Held the first Wednesday of each month; attend every time or drop in as needed). Meeting focus will be flexible according to the group’s request. Optional topics include improving family dynamics and quality of life during transitions, understanding compassion fatigue, legal/medical choices, accepting changes gracefully, and more. Presented by Aleia O’Reilly, founder of Further Shore and Meg Leander, Counselor. Questions? Call 928-525-2910 or 928-221-1600. The Crow’s Nest is offered FREE to the public and is open to all. It will be held at the Joe Montoya Senior and Community Center at 245 N. Thorpe Road in the arts and crafts room. Light refreshments will be served. 

Naturally Caring TLC for Care Givers kicks off the 2012 Series
Workshop #1 is entitled, “Care Choices & Five Wishes.” It will be held on Wednesday, April 18 from 3-5 p.m. at the Joe C. Montoya Senior & Community Center at 245 N. Thorpe Road in Flagstaff. During this FREE workshop you will learn how to help yourself and those you care for to express physical, emotional and spiritual needs during serious illness and at end of life. Your presenters are Meg Leander, Counselor and Susanne One Love, R.N. The session will be held in the arts and crafts room. Call for Table Captains!
It is not too soon to think about think about That’s Life- A Bone Dance 2012! Further Shore’s 7th Annual Gala and Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 6-11 p.m. at the Radisson Woodlands Hotel in Flagstaff. This memorial event has become a beloved Flagstaff tradition. Please consider serving as an event Table Captain. Details to come.
Bridging the Gap
This training is required for Further Shore Volunteers and useful for anyone in a supportive role with loved ones in transition. It will be offered on May 11th and 12th. Registration is open for 2 additional participants. Please see the website for details about the training.
