  • The Naturally Caring TLC for Care Givers Series begins on Wednesday, April 20th from 3-5 p.m. at the Thorp Park Senior Center. Aleia O’Reilly and Susanne One Love, R.N. will present a FREE workshop with a focus on understanding care choices during serious illness. The Series will run on the 3rd Wednesday of each month through November, with a different topic and speaker each time. The Series is made possible in part by a grant from the Arizona & Flagstaff Community Foundations, Flagstaff Medical Center & Forest Highlands Foundation
  • On Wednesday, February 16th New Frontiers Natural Foods will donate 5% of sales to Further Shore in support our Client Support Program. It’s called 5% Wednesday and it’s as easy as going shopping! Thanks so much, New Frontiers!!
  • February is National Heart Disease Awareness Month! These few steps will help you to reduce risk of a heart attack:
    • Take a brisk walk and get your heart rate up several times a week
    • Quit smoking and avoid second hand smoke
    • Eat a balanced diet and maintain a healthy weight
    • Keep your stress down with yoga, meditation, or other relaxing practices
    • Know your numbers (blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglycerides)
